After your request we coordinate the inspection with the seller. The check itself usually takes around 60 to 90 minutes – slightly longer than for combustion cars, because the TÜV NORD battery check on the high-voltage system is carried out as well.
The TÜV NORD battery check is a CARA-certified test of the high-voltage battery. The state of health (SoH) is determined via the diagnostic interface – i.e. the remaining capacity and degree of degradation in percent. The result is documented in an official TÜV NORD battery report.
Yes, provided the seller agrees and the vehicle is roadworthy and registered. In that case driving behaviour, acceleration and unusual noises or warnings are included in the assessment.
The price is currently €458 – including the on-site inspection, test drive, Meistercheck inspection report and TÜV NORD battery check with official battery report.
The inspection is suitable for all vehicles with a high-voltage battery: pure electric cars (BEV), plug-in hybrids (PHEV) and full hybrids (HEV). For classic combustion cars and mild hybrids without a high-voltage battery, the regular Used Car Inspection is the right choice.
The official TÜV NORD battery report objectively documents the state of health of the high-voltage battery. When you sell the car later, this builds trust with buyers and can have a positive effect on the price you achieve.
All findings are documented and put into context in the inspection report. That way you know before buying whether the asking price matches the real battery condition – and can decide clearly: buy, renegotiate or better walk away.
